Vista and Windows Live Messanger

So my roommate asked me to get messanger for her and so far so good until I tried to sign in...

Then it told me there was a problem, it looked for a solution, told me it couldnt fix it and shut down messanger...

I tried to look up fixes online and I just kept getting people complaining about Vista (Im with them... but Id like some answers instead)

Anyone?

Colour suggestions?

Ok... so Im doing my room in brown and bright green accents and I have
black furniture but I dont want to paint the room dark brown.... So I
need suggestions...

Here are some of the things that will be in my room:

Bed and Night Stand, possibly the Armoire



Im thinking a light grey/green, a light brown, or a light gold
